1.4.1.1 Types of Literature Reviews
Literature reviews serve the purpose of offering a
comprehensive analysis and synthesis of relevant sources that
a researcher has investigated. The specific approach taken in
conducting a literature review may vary depending on the
type of analysis that forms the foundation of the researcher's
study. Some of the types are discussed below.
Argumentative Review
The method described here involves a thorough
examination of existing literature in order to either support
or refute a claim, presumption, or philosophical dilemma that
has already been addressed in the literature. The aim is to
