By defining the variable and data collection process,
feasibility and research ability can be ensured.
CHAPTER 3
METHODOLOGY
‘This section includes details on how research will be carried out. It includes research
design, target population, sample size, sampling techniques, data collection and
procedures.
3.1: Research Design:
Explains which research design will be used: Longitudinal, cross sectional or time
lagged.
3.2: Population:
Tells in which industry you will conduct the research. A few examples in this regard
are the ‘banking sector, education sector, telecom sector etc.
3.3: Sampling Size and Technique
Tells about the type of sampling used and the number of respondents from which
data will be collected
3.4: Data Collection Procedure:
Details from where the researcher will collect data and which procedure he/she will
use
3.5: Measures:
3.5.1: Independent Variable:
Independent Variable is measured by adapting a 14 item scale developed from
(Name, Year). These items are ‘measured using a seven-point Likert Sale (form 1 -
strongly disagree to 7 — strongly agreed)
3.5.2: Mediator:
Mediator is measured by adapting the 21 item scale developed from (Name, Year).
These items are measured using a seven-point Likert Scale (from 1 — strongly
disagree to 7 — strongly agree).
3.5.3: Dependent Variable:
Dependent Variable is measured by adapting a 20 item scale developed from (Name,
Year). These items are measured using a seven-point Likert Scale (from 1 - strongly
disagree to 7 — strongly age).
